Scholarship Program Visiting Day

July 29th, 2008
Today I went to St. Peter's Primary School to bring William a folder for putting finished assignments in that his teacher told me he needed w
hen I went to his last visiting day. He was definitely happy to see me. I'm guessing it had something to do with the fact that he was able to sneak out of class for a few minutes and escape examination preps. My visit was surely a much welcomed break.
I also visited St. Joseph's Girl's School to bring the Just Like My Child scholarship recipients the textbooks that they needed and some ringworm medication. All four of the girls were working hard in class preparing for their exams so I didn't disturb them from their studies. The only child that I pulled out of class was Nalubombwe Josephine because I wanted to explain to her how to apply the ringworm medication. She promised to make sure that the other girls got the books that I brought for them. I was also able to send the greetings that her aunt and sister had asked me to pass along to her when I was in Kikoiiro a few days earlier. She was amazed that I had gone all the way to her tiny fishing village. All the more motivation for me to visit Kikoiiro during the upcoming holiday.
