Sister Ernestine Akulu and I visited an exemplary school called St. Jude Primary in Nakasongola, which will serve as a possible model for the Just Like My Child Kiwanula Project. We spent several hours there, touring the school compound, getting building advice and taking photos. St.Jude provides a warm and friendly learning environment for the children that attend school there.
The school has a very lush garden behind the compound. The teachers and children are provided a with a nutritious diet from the variety the garden offers. The children also come to the garden to get hands on learning experience. Proper gardening and agricultural techniques are important to every Ugandans future. 
St. Jude also raises cows, goats, pigs and bees for food and income generation for school development. The children learn to raise the animals as part of their education.
